It is never too late to learn a new skill or find a new hobby. And what better way to learn than from the treasure trove of experience one finds in a retirement community? In the photo to the left, cottage resident Maribelle Steffy teaches several other residents different stitches and techniques of knitting and crocheting. Several of her students have already completed projects.
Another popular class on campus is the Life Story Writer's Group, where residents and members of the larger community gather to share their life stories as they write them for their children and grandchildren. So far several of the group have had their stories published, while many still have "works in progress."
