Thanks to a great community response, Fairmount’s 15th Annual Heritage Day, sponsored by Good’s Store, turned out to be a huge success. The new location on the Farm Crest campus proved to work well, thanks to thoughtful planning by the Heritage Day committee, the hard work of the Fairmount maintenance staff and the willing commitment of a huge group of volunteers. As always, the day featured great food, lots of fun activities and many opportunities to reminisce bygone days. The grounds were covered with an impressive array of antique tractors, miscellaneous vintage farm implements, and antique cars. The Silent Auction ran until noon, with over 100 antique and vintage items auctioned, and the event wound up with a tractor procession starting at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the 16th Heritage Day on June 6, 2020! All funds raised on Heritage Day go to Fairmount’s Sharing Fund, which benefits residents who have exhausted their financial resources, so the community support for Heritage Day is always greatly appreciated.
