A free seminar entitled “Strategies for Good Mental Health” will be held at Fairmount in Ephrata on Tuesday, March 19, at 1:30 p.m., in the Wheat Ridge Chapel on the west side of the Fairmount campus. The public is cordially invited to attend.

The presenter will be Marganne Hoffman, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Program Coordinator for Wellspan. Hoffman has been employed in behavioral healthcare since 2000 and has worked in various positions, including Project Coordinator for Shaping Your Family’s Future, a book developed by Philhaven to encourage parents to create healthy family patterns as they raise their children. Since 2007, she has managed over seventy EAP client companies and provides guidance and resources to employers and their employees. She also develops and facilitates educational programs, as well as responds to workplace traumatic events. The “Strategies for Good Mental Health” seminar will focus on how to: understand the body/mind connection of stress; learn effective coping strategies; understand compassion fatigue; and offer self-care tips.

Time will be allotted for questions from the audience. While this is a free seminar, please reserve a seat by calling 717.354.1893.
