Are you planning to enroll in Medicare, or know someone who is? Navigating the maze of Medicare can be a confusing process, and it is important to understand current changes. A free seminar entitled “Navigating the Maze of Medicare: Understanding and Preparing for Medicare Benefits” will be offered at Fairmount in Ephrata on Tuesday, October 22, at 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. The location is the Wheat Ridge Chapel at 333 Wheat Ridge Drive on the west side of the Fairmount campus. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Presenting the program will be Tony Montgomery, a Senior Plan Advisor for Murray Securus with over 11 years of experience in this field. For the past six and a half years he has concentrated mainly on assisting seniors with various Medicare supplements, long-term care planning and life insurance needs. Some of the topics covered in the seminar will be: understanding costs, co-pays and deductibles; what is covered and what is not; cost-sharing amounts; Medicare Part C or advantage plans, and whether or not they are a good choice; defining a “donut hole”; and understanding the impact of healthcare reform. All individuals who are (or soon to be) eligible for Medicare, as well as those who assist patients or relatives in Medicare decisions are encouraged to attend.

Time will be allotted for questions from the audience. While the event is free, please call 717.354.1893 to reserve a seat.
