Quest Diagnostics will be holding a Health Screen at Fairmount on Wednesday, May 8, from 6:00–9:00 a.m. The event will take place in the Farm Crest Community Room at 1100 Farm Crest Drive on the east side of the Fairmount Homes campus, and is open to the public.
Health Screen is a personal, preventive screening that may determine if someone has current or potential health problems. Over 80% of all diseases are preventable if diagnosed in the early stages.
The Health Screen covers 30 tests designed to detect anemia, heart disease, both good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol, diabetes, gout, and liver and kidney disease, to name a few. Also included with the screen is a lifestyle evaluation. To achieve accurate results, nothing should be eaten for 10 hours prior to the test, although water and medications may be taken. You will receive two copies of your results by mail: one for your records and one for your physician. All test results are strictly confidential.
The cost of the testing is $60. Testing for thyroid (TSH) and prostate screening (PSA) will be available for an additional fee of $25 each, and a Vitamin D screen is available for an additional $35.00. Payment by cash or check is due on the day of the Health Screen.
