In this new era of social distancing and suspensions of group activities, many Fairmount residents are unable to attend their home church services or even attend worship services in Fairmount’s chapel. In an effort to enhance our residents’ spiritual wellness, Fairmount leadership arranged for an outdoor hymn sing, where residents could listen and participate in small groups from their patios and balconies. Lancaster Mennonite School graduate and current Messiah College student Mackenzie Brubaker delighted our residents with classic hymns, even taking requests. She also performed a recently penned original song for the enjoyment of everyone. Mackenzie braved the chilly temperatures, performing five mini-concerts across Fairmount’s campus. Thank you, Mackenzie, for taking time to brighten our residents’ day and providing a message of hope in these challenging times.
Pictures of Mackenzie’s performance for Fairmount residents have been posted on Fairmount’s Facebook page. Please take a look, and while you are there, don’t forget to LIKE us!
