Short-term Rehabilitation

Overview

Fairmount’s short-term inpatient rehabilitation department offers a full range of therapy services, including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy five days a week as ordered by your physician. These services are provided in our fully- equipped therapy gym by professional therapists specifically trained to meet the rehabilitation needs of individuals over the age of 65. Most rehabilitation services are covered by Medicare Parts A and B, Medicare Replacement Plans, or private insurance once a deductible and co-pay are met. Our business office is available to assist you in determining your eligibility for coverage of these services.

What to Expect with Short-term Inpatient Rehabilitation

During your stay with us, caring, dedicated team members will assist you with your daily living activities. Three delicious meals, a full program of activities and a warm homey environment are all included. Your friends and family are welcome to visit with you in your room or in one of the beautiful sun rooms overlooking the picturesque Lancaster County landscape.   And when your recovery is complete, our skilled Social Service team will arrange for a smooth transition back home, including arranging for any supportive services that may be needed to ensure a successful adjustment.

** Fairmount does not charge an application fee, and those on the wait list who are not yet ready to make a move when an opening is available retain their place on the wait list. For more information on our wait list, please click here.
