Tim Rogers and Megan Shertzer, father and daughter co-authors of the book Beechdale Road, will be sharing their story on Wednesday, April 10, at 6:30pm at Fairmount. The event will be held in the Farm Crest Community Room Chapel at 1100 Farm Crest Drive on the east side of the Fairmount campus. Copies of Beechdale Road will be available for purchase and signing, and the public is cordially invited.

Megan Shertzer, MA, works as an Adult Advocate at The Factory Ministries in Paradise, Pennsylvania. She is recently married to her husband Tanner, and enjoys running, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Tim Rogers, ThM, DMin, has served as Lead Pastor at Grace Point Church of Paradise, Pennsylvania for more than twenty years. He is active in various community roles. He has been married to Jen for more than twenty-five years, and they have three children and one dog. Tim enjoys cycling, coaching basketball, reading, & traveling with his family.

Their story began on Sunday, June 21, 2020, when 18-year-old Linda Stoltzfoos of Bird-in-Hand was kidnapped on Beechdale Road and later murdered by Justo Smoker. Megan is Justo’s niece, and Tim is Justo’s brother-in-law. Beechdale Road is their attempt to share their story of grief, anger, and pain, but also unexplainable grace, kindness and mercy at the hands of the Amish community.
